Python hunters closing in on milestone

For the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), recent efforts have increased to protect native wildlife and restore order for the state’s ecosystem.

More specifically, the district has centered much of its focus on finding and eliminating Burmese pythons, an invasive species that has no natural predator in the Everglades, and one that has “decimated native populations of wildlife.”
