Fort Myers woman wins $6 million Lotto jackpot

Lee Herald Favicon 16A Fort Myers woman claimed a $6 million dollar jackpot on Tuesday after buying the winning ticket from a local grocery store.

Joyce Joyner, 67, of Fort Myers won the $6 million jackpot during the August 25 drawing for the Florida Lottery. The winner decided to take her prize in the form of an $4,025,567 lump sum payment.

The winning ticket was purchased by Joyner at the Publix located at 6900 Daniels Parkway. That Publix store will receive a $45,000 bonus for selling the lucky ticket.
