Naples man becomes second $1 million scratch-off winner this week

Lee Herald Favicon 16A second Southwest Florida resident this week has claimed a $1 million lottery prize after buying a winning scratch off-ticket at an area gas station.

Brooks Weber, 60, of Naples, travelled to Tallahassee on Thursday to claim his $1 million prize that he won while playing the FLORIDA 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game. Weber has chosen to receive the prize as a $770,000 lump sum.

The scratch-off was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 1353 3rd Street South in Naples, which will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling winning ticket.

It has been a lucky streak for Southwest Florida lottery players as 39-year old David Jones of Fort Myers also claimed a $1 million prize earlier this week after purchasing a scratch-off ticket from a local gas station.
