FMPD investigating fatal weekend shooting

Lee Herald Favicon 16Officers are investigating a fatal shooting that took place over the weekend on Louise Avenue  in Fort Myers.

According to the Fort Myers Police Department, officers responded to 322 Louise Avenue at around 2:30 a.m Sunday on reports of an aggravated assault.

A man who had suffered gunshots was found wounded at the scene, and officers began CPR on the victim, Daryl D. Scott, 32, who was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital by EMS workers, where he was pronounced deceased.

In a release, FMPD said that this was an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the public.
