Robbery at 7-Eleven nets cash, lottery tickets

Lee Herald Favicon 16Local law enforcement is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who made off with a mix of lottery tickets and cash after robbing a convenience store in Bonita Springs on Tuesday morning.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, a man entered the 7-Eleven at 12661 Bonita Beach Road in Bonita Springs just before 5 a.m. Tuesday morning and immediately walked behind the counter, snatching lottery tickets as he went. He then turned to the clerk and demanded money from the register.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene in a light-colored SUV. The man, who was captured in surveillance footage, is described as approximately 5’8”, 140 pounds, in his late to mid-20s. The suspect is not believed to have been armed during the robbery.

The LCSO asks that anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000. Tips may also be made online at or on the P3Tips mobile app.
