Gallery: TacoFest

Lee Herald Favicon 16There’s nothing better than a taco fiesta.

93X has hosted the TacoFest at Centennial for three years running, with little to no signs of stopping.

Over 20 food trucks from the area gathered to compete with their own taco fare, desserts and taco inspired menu items.  Tacos of all sorts were on display, from the newer styled barbeque tacos, to artisan styled tortillas, and the good old reliable taco al pastor with just a little onion and cilantro.

Musical guest Lit headlined the gathering, with local favorites SowFlo and Soapy tuna, belting out their own brand of hits and covers to a sizeable crowd.  Beer and alcohol-infused ice cream on hand went well enough with the festivities and there was cornhole competitions and giant inflatable soccer balls for everyone.

“It was the perfect Uber ride for me, I live across the bridge and couldn’t withstand the call of tacos,” said Connor Love, of Cape Coral.

Proceeds benefited Caleb’s Crusade, a charity that helps children with developing or diagnosed cancer with resources and funding.
