Would-be robber points finger, gets nothing

Lee Herald Favicon 16Deputies are searching for a young man who attempted to rob a Bonita Springs gas station by pointing his finger at the clerk on Wednesday.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, around 2 a.m., a man covering his face with a red shirt entered the 7-Eleven at 4520 Bonita Beach Road. The suspect threatens the clerk by pointing his finger and demanding the contents of the register. When the clerk refused, the man fled the scene without the cash on a white mountain bicycle heading northbound on Imperial Shores Boulevard.

The young man is described as being in his early 20’s, approximately 5’8” and 165 pounds.
