In the wake of Hurricane Irma, Florida SouthWestern State College will be paying tribute to local first responders for all their efforts during the massive storm at the FSW men’s basketball game on January 13.
Tickets will be free for all first responders and up to three other members of their family.
“We all know the sacrifices that our police, fire and EMT professionals made during Irma that kept us all safe, but they put their lives on the line day in and day out,” said Joe Turner, Director of Institutional Promotions and Development for FSW. “This will give them a chance to unwind with their family and enjoy a basketball game. It’s our way of saying thank you for what they do for our community.”
The nationally-ranked Bucs will face off against St. Petersburg College at FSW’s Suncoast Credit Union Arena beginning at 4 p.m.
First responders should report to the box office with proper identification in order to receive their tickets.
