Six men are in custody after a major drug bust in North Fort Myers on Wednesday that resulted in the seizure of tens of thousands of dollars of heroin.
According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, members of the agency’s narcotics unit executed two search warrants at 8306 Nault Drive and 8220 Nault Drive in North Fort Myers on Wednesday.
During the search, deputies discovered 212.2 grams of heroin, 15.5 grams of crack cocaine, 39 grams of oxycodone, and two firearms. LCSO says that detectives have been targeting street level drug dealers in the Suncoast area of North Fort Myers over the last few months.
The total street value of the heroin recovered during the search is estimated to be over $42,000.
The six men arrested in the bust were charged with the following:
George Lunger, 41, sale and possession of methamphetamine
Kenneth Tippins, 48, sale and possession of heroin and cocaine
Darniel Williams, 23, sale and possession of heroin and cocaine
Robert Downey,38, sale and possession of heroin and cocaine
Gage Knox, 24, possession of drug paraphernalia
William Thomas, 25, trafficking in heroin and possession of cocaine with intent to sell
