Three former champions will headline the field at next month’s Chubb Classic at TwinEagles in Naples, as the preliminary field was announced for the PGA Champions Tour event on Wednesday.
Three-time event-winner Bernhard Langer, 2014 winner Kirk Triplett, and 2015 winner Lee Janzen, along with former PGA Tour champions Miguel Angel Jimenez, Jerry Kelly, Colin Montgomerie, and David Toms are among those confirmed for the 2018 tournament, which runs from Feb. 12-18.
“We look forward to welcoming both players and golf fans to the 2018 Chubb Classic,” said Matt Hilliker, Tournament Director. “With a strong list of competitors, this year is sure to be one to remember.”
Langer leads all golfers with three wins in the tournament, most recently in 2016. Fred Couples won last year’s Chubb Classic, the 30th edition of the Champions Tour event. The full field will be released in the coming weeks, per PGA rules players have until the Friday before the tournament to commit to playing.
Tickets start at $15 for daily admission, and $30 for the tournament.
