Topgolf could soon be coming to Southwest Florida.
The company, which operates what could best be called driving ranges on steroids, has reportedly purchased land in Fort Myers to build a location.
An exact timeframe for opening, or precisely where or even if is unclear, as a company spokesperson wouldn’t confirm details in an email Monday, but did say that plans are in the works.
“We are actively pursuing a location in Fort Myers but I don’t have any details I can share quite yet,” Topgolf spokesperson Morgan Wallace said in an email Monday afternoon. “We are so excited for the future potential to join the Fort Myers community!”
Topgolf currently has locations in Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville, and is in the process of opening locations in Miami Gardens and Doral, part of 33 such locations worldwide. Topgolf locations combine air-conditioned driving range bays with restaurants and bars for what the company calls the “ultimate in golf, games, food, and fun.”
