Cape Coral Police Make Arrest for April Dixie Roadhouse Parking Lot Assault

Lee Herald Favicon 16A Dixie Roadhouse patron, the victim of the assault, indicated that he walked a female out to her car, parked in the restaurant parking lot located at 1023 SE 47th Terrace at approximately 1:45 a.m. on April 27.

He reported that a male, known to be Anthony Mann, pulled his vehicle up to the two restaurant patrons, with the front of his car facing the aforementioned couple.  Words were reportedly exchanged.

Mann exited the vehicle and brandished a firearm.  He allegedly pointed the weapon, returned to his car and drove directly into the male victim.  That victim was thrown onto the vehicle’s hood as Mann began to accelerate.

The victim reported that he clung to the hood as Mann sped out of the Dixie Roadhouse parking lot.  He was able to hold on until being thrown from the vehicle near the 1000 block of Cape Coral Parkway.  The victim received injuries deemed to be minor.

On Thursday, the Cape Coral Police detectives assigned to the U.S. Marshals’ Task Force located and arrested Anthony Wayne Mann (DOB 01-01/1993) on Fort Myers Beach and charged him with two counts of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and one count of Aggravated Battery with Deadly Weapon.

This is not Mann’s first encounter with law enforcement.  Mann was arrested in May of 2012 and charged with Battery and Resisting Officer without Violence.  He was arrested, once again, in September of 2012 and charged with Heroin Trafficking.

Mann is currently in custody in the Lee County Jail with bond set at $105,000.
