LCSO Sharing Little Regarding Lehigh Homicide Investigation: UPDATE – VICTIMS IDENTIFIED

Lee Herald Favicon 16The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has released limited information regarding the death investigation that began on Thursday afternoon on 4 Street West in Lehigh Acres.

Now reported as a murder-suicide involving three individuals, LCSO has issued a report identifying those involved.

Two victims, Tiffany Jensen (DOB 01-29-80) and Heidi Shinne (DOB 08-06-98), were allegedly killed by Jonathan Scott Jensen (DOB 12-07-69).  Jonathan Jensen was found alive and transported to a local hospital.  He subsequently died from injuries that he reportedly inflicted upon himself.

What we do know, at this time, is that the Lee County Sheriff’s Office was summoned to the 2700 block of 4th Street SW, in Lehigh Acres, at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The sheriff’s office indicated that the call initiated a death investigation and that the LCSO Major Crimes Unit detectives were dispatched to the home situated between Hanna and Elva Avenues South.

While another news agency has reported two deaths at this location, the Lee Herald has been unable to confirm.  A Thursday LCSO released indicated that the matter is “contained” and that there is no danger to the community.

One day later, crime scene tape remains around a large perimeter preventing any access to 4th Street Southwest between the aforementioned avenues.

The Lee Herald has reached out to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office but has been told that they are unable to provide additional information at this time.
