In conjunction with UnitedHealthcare and CBS EcoMedia, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation –which serves to provide youth sports development programs to kids across the country – agreed to bring back the Team8 Tour campaign, the trio jointly announced Tuesday.
Initiated in 2016, the Team8 Tour movement encourages America’s youth to make healthy choices, build character and learn life lessons that are aimed at enacting future social change.
In its first year, the campaign reached more than 10,000 students and families and donated over $100,000 worth of fitness gear.
“It’s amazing to see how much was accomplished during last year’s Team8 Tour, and we are excited to build upon that success,” said Cal Ripken, Jr., Baseball Hall of Famer and Ripken Foundation Vice Chairman. “The Team8 Tour has proved the power of like-minded groups combining efforts to make a lasting impact on kids everywhere.”
