Bartow Woman, Accused of Setting Fatal Arcadia House Fire, Due in Court

Lee Herald Favicon 16Marian Evette Williams, a 49-year-old Bartow woman, is scheduled to be arraigned today in a DeSoto County courtroom.

Williams is charged with Arson and three counts of First-degree Murder, accused of setting a South Lee Avenue home on fire back in March.

The fire claimed the lives of three young boys.

Marcus Clark, 10, Kiani Clark, eight, and Kemaren Clark, four, were in their grandfather’s Arcadia home when the blaze started at approximately 4:30 a.m.

None of the children were able to escape and perished in the fire.

Williams, the grandfather’s ex-girlfriend is charged with starting the fire.  She is scheduled to be arraigned today in a DeSoto County courtroom.
